Public Private Partnerships

  • Joining forces to accelerate creative industry partnerships

An eco-system for value exchange in creative industries centred around design-driven innovation themes.

Combining the benefits of private and public resources

In public-private partnership, we develop an eco-system for value exchange in creative industries centred around design-driven innovation themes. Dutch creative companies are well equipped to play a supportive role in the development of China’s creative industry and offer a variety of creative services. Disciplines such as urban development, landscape design, architecture, graphic design and industrial design all have a positive image and track record in China. Additionally, a creative approach in the delivery of sustainable and affordable urban solutions is rapidly gaining momentum.

A collective approach is crucial in achieving results, as projects are often large scale. For a majority of SME’s it is challenging to work independently in China, due to client expectations and market speed. Shaping ad-hoc consortia is the key to success.

Michiel Roosjen - About Asia

Why Chengdu?

Chengdu, the capital of southwest China’s Sichuan province, ranks the top spot for three consecutive years (2017-2019) in Milken Institute’s ranking of the country’s best-performing big cities. The Milken Institute report analyses urban-area economic dynamism. Sichuan’s capital outperforms other Chinese cities in terms of jobs, wages, output and investment. The Belt and Road Initiative, together with the creation of regional economic clusters, demonstrate the central government’s determination to improve the growth prospects of West Chinese cities.
